Can you freeze homemade applesauce in glass jars? |

I have been freezing homemade applesauce for a long time. It’s easy to make, it’s healthy, and it can be frozen. What more is there to ask for? But, I am not always a fan of frozen food. A few years ago, I found a way to freeze home-cooked applesauce in glass jars. The process is so simple and it works better than any other way.

Someone asked this question on our Facebook page recently, and the answer is a resounding yes! Frozen applesauce is just about the easiest thing to freeze, and it keeps for a very long time. We’re freezing ours for up to 18 months!

There are endless ways to freeze homemade applesauce, but for this article we decided to test three of them. We started with aluminum canning jars, which held the applesauce in its original form. Applesauce in the Freezer

Allow the applesauce to cool to room temperature before freezing it in freezer bags or containers. Mason jars are also often used for storing. Allow for growth by leaving a little gap at the top. Store for up to 9 months in the freezer (at least that’s how long ours have lasted!).
