In the United States, coffee is a popular drink. The two most common types of coffee are coffee brewed from ground beans and espresso-based drinks. Coffee can be made by using a drip or espresso maker, or it can be made in a French press.

A red eye, a black eye, a dead eye, or a hammerhead are all terms for a depth charge. Alternatively, they’re all the same thing: drip coffee with 1-xx oz. espresso poured on top.

Then there’s the question of what’s shot in the dark coffee.

A Shot in the Dark is a refreshing cocktail. It’s your standard brewed coffee (ideally prepared with quality, freshly roasted, freshly ground beans) plus an extra espresso shot thrown in for good measure. Although it’s simple, not many people are aware of this miracle booster. It’s also referred to as a Depth Charge.
