Technology Impact On CBD Business And Healthcare

The CBD industry has seen many changes in recent times. It is hard to believe that it was less than ten years ago that most people had never even heard of CBD. Fast forward to today, and CBD is one of the most talked about products in the wellness world.

Many factors have triggered changes in the CBD industry and the hype surrounding CBD products today. One of these is the enormous technological advances that have taken place.

Thanks to technology, almost every part of the industry and how the consumer interacts with CBD has changed. CBD and technology might seem like a strange pairing, especially given that part of the appeal of CBD is that it is an all-natural health supplement.

However, technological advances have helped to shape the industry in some surprising ways. Products like this 1000mg CBD oil are now a normal part of many people’s day and wellness routines thanks to technology.

Here are just some of the ways that technology has impacted CBD business and healthcare.

Technology Has Changed The Way That Hemp Plants Are Grown

One of the main obstacles within the CBD industry is how expensive it is to make. This, in turn, makes CBD an expensive supplement that the average person cannot afford.

But thanks to several technological advances, this is no longer the case. Manufacturers can now make high-quality products at a much lower cost and pass these savings on to the consumer, making CBD accessible to more people.

To grow high-yielding CBD-rich hemp plants, a particular climate and soil type are required. However, LED lighting technology makes it possible to grow hemp plants indoors, so that they can be cultivated all year round in almost any area of the world.

DNA technology has also impacted hemp farmers and allowed them to create high-yielding, easy-to-grow, and CBD-rich strains. Genetically altered hemp plant strains mean a higher yield of CBD can be obtained from a much smaller space with less effort.

A combination of LED and DNA technology has significantly helped reduce the cost of cultivating high-quality hemp plants that can then be used to make various CBD products.

Technology Has Changed The Way CBD Products Are Made

Technology has drastically changed how CBD products are made. Many technological advances adopted within the CBD industry have impacted the cost and time it takes to make CBD products. By refining these processes, CBD products can be sold at more affordable prices.

Advances in extraction methods, for example, allow CBD products to be made in a more budget-friendly way while not compromising quality. New extraction methods make it easier for manufacturers to extract the cannabinoids they want from hemp plants while leaving behind those they do not want.

Advances in nano-encapsulation technology are another great example of how technology impacts the CBD industry and how CBD products are used for health purposes.

Nanotechnology is used to improve CBD products’ bioavailability so that more active cannabinoids make their way into the body to benefit the end user. In the case of many orally consumed CBD products, only 20% of the CBD in the product finds its way into the bloodstream.

By applying nano-encapsulation technology, products’ bioavailability can be significantly improved, making them more effective. This technology also means that the consumer requires less CBD per product to achieve noticeable results.

Technology Has Changed The Way People Are Purchasing CBD

How people purchase CBD products has changed hugely, mainly due to technology. CBD businesses have embraced technology and are continuously looking for new ways it can be used to reach customers and educate people about the benefits of CBD.

The most obvious way technology is used to help customers access CBD products is through online stores. Almost every CBD brand or retailer has its own online store where customers can browse products and place orders.

Most people are now used to ordering CBD products online, and in almost all cases, the process is identical to ordering anything else online, whether groceries or clothing.

The CBD industry is constantly changing, though, with CBD delivery apps charging ahead in the market.

Most CBD delivery apps are designed to replicate the experience of apps such as Uber eats or Just Eat. Customers can easily browse all the local dispensaries signed up to the app, purchase products, and have them delivered straight to their door.
