After a day of studies, you finally have a chance to unwind and enjoy your favorite dessert. You cut it into small pieces, wrap it in a napkin, and eat it in front of the TV. Your sweet tooth is satisfied, but your body may have gotten a little more than you bargained for: chocolate is bad for you.

I stumbled upon this article out of curiosity and I was surprised to find that it included a section on chocolate. Thus began my chocolate quest. I decided to investigate on the internet and find that it is just not true that chocolate is a bad food for health. As a matter of fact, the article stated that chocolate does not hinder your ability to lose weight, since there are many studies that proved that the people who ate chocolate during holiday season lost less weight than those who did not.

After all, it’s far too sweet to be digestible and the texture is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced in your life so it must be holding something tightly in its sticky embrace, right? Wrong! Chocolate is actually a highly digestible food with protein in it that is so easy to break down that you can eat a dark chocolate bar, run a chocolate milkshake through your digestive system, and come out the other end with some of your weight loss goals still intact.
