Fleischmann’s Yeast is one of the most popular brands of yeast available today. Since 1896, the company has been producing the finest food yeast products available. The Fleischmann’s Yeast Company was founded in 1896 by Jacob Fleischmann, in San Francisco, California. Its corporate headquarters are in Castleton, Vermont, where Yeast is still made using the same methods that Jacob’s father, Joseph, first perfected.

I was scrolling through Pinterest the other day when I stumbled upon a pin that showed how much yeast is in a packet of Fleischmann’s Yeast. I’d never heard of Fleischmann’s before, so I looked them up, and discovered that they are a popular brand of yeast used for baking bread. Since I’m a bread fanatic, I was curious to see just how much yeast is in a single packet of Fleischmann’s.

A lot of people seem confused about how much yeast they need in order to make bread. The answer is “It depends.”
