A few years ago, I went to San Francisco for a work-related conference. While there, I ended up going to Buena Vista, a popular Irish Pub. It was a bit pricey, but they had some nice drinks, especially their Irish coffee. I was amazed at how much money they charged for the drink, so I decided to find out how much a coffee at Buena Vista would cost.

The Buena Vista is not an Irish coffee’s biggest fan.  The Buena Vista has a lot of competition in the brunch space, and it’s a particular battle to see who can get you the best coffee.  We decided to take the Buena Vista’s Irish coffee to task, and see if they could really make the best coffee in San Francisco.

The Buena Vista Cafe is San Francisco’s oldest Irish-themed pub. The Buena Vista is a very popular destination for locals and tourists alike. The Buena Vista opened in 1899 as a coffee house, but soon turned into a popular meeting spot for saloon keepers and other Irish immigrants. In 1926, the building was converted into a tavern.
