Is Wilton food coloring gluten free? |

Food coloring is made from natural ingredients, but the FDA requires it to be labeled gluten free if it contains less than 20 parts per million (20 ppm) of gluten. So, gluten free food coloring is becoming more and more popular with the gluten free community. For instance, Wilton has a new color called “Aqua-Blue” which is both gluten free and non-toxic. It is made from non-animal products, is made to comply with the FDA’s gluten free labeling requirements, and does not contain any genetically modified organisms, artificial coloring, or harmful preservatives.

The gluten-free diet has become increasingly popular in recent years, and we’ve seen it grow into a cultural phenomenon that is even evident in children’s television programming. However, while many products that claim to be gluten-free do not actually contain the ingredient, there are some that do.

Wilton makes no claims about gluten-free goods and does not test them. We don’t have any paperwork or proof that any of our goods satisfy the legal definition of “gluten free,” which is fewer than 20 parts per million.
