When it comes to fast food chains, Burger King is one of the most popular and recognizable. Founded in 1954, they have a long history of serving quality burgers and other classic American fare. One question that often arises when discussing Burger King is what type of soft drink they serve? Is it Pepsi or Coke?

The answer depends on the particular Burger King location, as the chain has different contracts with select beverage companies at each location across the country. In general, you can find Pepsi products served at most locations in the United States. On the other hand, Coca-Cola products are served at many international locations and in certain parts of Mexico where there is exclusive partnership with Coca-Cola. So when you visit a new Burger King location, be sure to check if it’s Pepsi or Coke!

Burger King’s History

Burger King began as Insta-Burger King in 1953, in Jacksonville, Florida. Founded by Keith J. Kramer and Matthew Burns, the fast-food restaurant gained popularity very quickly over the subsequent years. For over six decades, Burger King has been around and has evolved its menu and business strategy to stay relevant. Though the restaurant’s positioning and products have changed throughout its long history, the question remains: does Burger King serve Pepsi or Coke? Let’s look into the history of Burger King’s choices.

Early years

Burger King, which is also referred to as BK, was founded in 1954 when four franchisees opened the first Burger King restaurant in Miami, Florida. The four men’s objective was to build an inexpensive drive-in restaurant with a full-service menu of quality hamburgers. Within two years, the business had grown significantly and the four founders began franchising their restaurants.

In 1961, two New York entrepreneurs acquired Burger King Corporation and began to expand across the United States. At this time they also introduced signature items such as its flagship Whopper sandwich as well as French Fries and Soft Drinks. During this period of growth and expansion, Burger King’s operations spanned 13 countries and 251 locations across America.

Between 1982 and 1987, 3G Capital acquired a majority stake in Burger King with plans to help them further develop their franchisee system. The following years saw the launch of numerous enhancements that included upgrading existing stores throughout North America and the introduction of value-priced products for consumers on a budget. These changes not only increased market share but drove long-term value for shareholders too.

Expansion

Burger King, founded in 1954 and previously known as Insta-Burger King, is an American fast food chain that primarily sells hamburgers, but also features chicken, milkshakes, fries and soft drinks. The chain has over 17,800 locations in 100 countries. It was acquired by Pillsbury in 1967 and then later by the British firm Grand Metropolitan in 1989. In 2002 it merged with Canadian-based quick food chain Tim Hortons to form an entity called Restaurant Brands International. Burger King’s menu consists of a variety of burgers including flame broiled hamburgers (the Whopper), veggie burgers (the BK Veggie burger) and chicken sandwiches (the Big King). It also serves Chicken Fries and many other side items such as french fries and onion rings. Burger King’s most iconic drink is its proprietary soft drink known as the BK Pepsi. The soda contains high fructose corn syrup and tastes similar to a combination of Sprite® and Mountain Dew® sodas. The beverage is served both fountain style or in cans or bottles at certain locations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Bahrain, France and the United Kingdom.

Burger King’s Beverage Partners

Burger King is one of the most well known restaurants in the United States, and they have partnered with some of the biggest cola companies in the world. If you have ever wondered whether Burger King’s drinks are Pepsi or Coke, the answer is a bit more complicated than that. In this article, we’ll discuss Burger King’s beverage partners and why it varies from location to location.

Pepsi

PepsiCo has been Burger King’s beverage partner in the United States since 1989. With their vast portfolio of beverages, it’s no wonder why Burger King is so loyal to PepsiCo. PepsiCo offers a range of products that are perfect for any occasion or meal, including burger meals at Burger King.

Their signature US product is the world-famous soda, Pepsi. This cola drink comes in multiple varieties from the classic regular flavor to all the fun specialty flavors like Lemon Lime, Raspberry and Vanilla flavors. All these sodas can be found at Burger King restaurants across America, making them just as popular today as they were many years ago.

Other popular beverage options served by PepsiCo include Mountain Dew, Aquafina water bottles, Trop50 juices and Dr Pepper/7UP products. Choices like these ensure Burger King customers are able to find something refreshing regardless of their preference – whether they have a taste for carbonated beverages or various juices and juices blends; they will find something that fits their palette with ease!

Coke

Burger King’s long-term partnership with The Coca-Cola Company allows customers to enjoy many of the most popular beverages in a friendly and convenient way. Customers can choose from refreshing non-alcoholic sparkling beverages and still drinks, including Coke®, Sprite®, Fanta®, Diet Coke®, Barq’s® Root Beer, Powerade® Mountain Blast®, Minute Maid® Lemonade and Dasani® bottled water. These products are offered in a variety of package sizes, from small 8 oz cans up to large 32 oz PET bottles. In addition to these traditional options, Burger King locations also offer products from Coke’s ‘Freestyle’ machines, providing an even wider variety of flavors to suit individual tastes and preferences. Burger King customers now have the freedom to mix different flavors for a one-of-a-kind beverage experience.

Reasons Behind the Partnership

Burger King and Pepsi-Cola have a long and prosperous history together. This partnership began in the 1950s and has been ongoing ever since. Many factors have contributed to their strong relationship, including loyalty, product quality and shared reputation for innovation.

Though there are many beverage options in quick service restaurants, Burger King has remained loyal to Pepsi-Cola for decades. The two companies have established a mutual trust through long-term relationships with suppliers, franchisees and customers alike. Consumer preferences are considered at every level of the business, driving product development and operational excellence.

Furthermore, Pepsi’s high quality has been a major factor in continuing the relationship between Burger King and Pepsi-Cola over the years. Customers consistently report having a positive experience with no discernible difference when they order either soda or juice products from Burger King. This satisfaction is paramount in maintaining customer loyalty and keeping them as repeat visitors to all Burger King locations around the world.

Pepsi-Cola also prides itself on its innovation within the industry, continuously developing new products to meet customer desires and challenging traditional market insights such as flavor profiles or promotional strategies for foodservice industry standards. With research conducted jointly with Burger King through its Test Kitchen facilities, Pepsi continues to surprise consumers with unique new products combined with classic favorites like the BK Float or Frozen Fanta® Pina Colada Smoothie. Through an exploration of different tastes and experiences, both Burger King and Pepsi aim to impress customers from all generations worldwide with new food concepts that tantalize their palates as much as it tantalizes their imagination!

Burger King’s Beverage Selection

Burger King offers a wide selection of beverages, including pop, coffee, tea and more. When it comes to the popular cola choices, Burger King serves both Coke and Pepsi products. The exact mix varies by location, so you may find that you can select one or the other depending on where you are. In some locations both Pepsi and Coca-Cola are available, while in others only one product is offered.

In addition to colas, Burger King offers flavored beverage options such as Dr Pepper Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar and Fanta Orange Zero Sugar. They also serve Aquafina water to choose from in addition to their other options for those looking for something a bit lighter than the traditional soda pop. Burger King also brings back seasonal flavors often – like Coca-Cola Orange Vanilla during the summer or Dr Pepper & Cream Soda during the holidays.

The fast-food chain also boasts an array of coffee, tea and hot chocolate selections plus smoothies including Strawberry Banana Smoothie and Mango Pineapple Smoothie that can be customized with various add-ins like banana chips or raspberries. For those after a nutritional boost be sure to try out BK Cafe Protein Coffee chilled coffee drinks made with real coconut creamer for added sweetness and silkiness; plus added protein!
