Food Network, the popular home cooking show for cooking enthusiasts, has a churro recipe on their website. I know churros aren’t the most difficult food to make, but they’re still tricky. If you follow the directions exactly, you’re likely to end up with a doughy mess, or a painful mish-mash of over-crisped parts. So, I made a few tweaks so they turned out perfectly.

Churros are one of Food Network’s most popular items, and there are dozens of different ways to make them. Bob’s Burgers is even known to make their own homemade version of the light and fluffy snacks. But one of the most common recipes on the show is to follow a recipe from Food Network. The only problem is, many of the recipes call for ingredients that you’d probably need to buy at a specialty store. So how does one make this popular treat at home without the help of a chef?
