One of the vendors I worked for during my last job was Home Depot, and boy did I learn a lot about that store. Here are some interesting tidbits from my job there, in case you ever visit one. 1. When I worked at Home Depot, I learned that there are actually two different kinds of diatomaceous earth. The first one is a rock-like substance that is not harmful to humans or pets, but is made up of dead and dried-up tiny marine organisms, called diatoms. The second type of diatomaceous earth is a type of soil that is specifically made up of the same kind of diatoms that the rock-like version is, but it is sold as food grade. 2
