Most people believe that grass can only be eaten by cows and sheep, but some people (like myself) believe that grass is nutritious enough to be eaten by the human race. What I mean by “grass” is a small tuft of grass, as opposed to a large patch of grass. There is a study that suggests that the human body is able to absorb some of the nutrition in grass, but the results were inconclusive. (There are also other studies that suggest that grass is full of sodium and other crap, but I will not go into that here.)

If you have a green thumb and you’re not afraid of a little dirt, you might have wondered if you can use plant food on grass. You may have found articles that say that “no, it’s not safe to eat green grass”, or “you have to use organic food”. You may have even read that “some people are allergic to plant food, so you can’t eat it on grass”. Well, I’m here to tell you that this isn’t true.

Recently there has been some concern that eating organic foods might be harmful to plants. In our family we decided to grow some crops and see how they would do. In the end, we believe there is no harm from including non organic foods in your diet.

The words “fertilizer” and “plant food” are often used interchangeably. Fertilizer, on the other hand, is not the same as plant nourishment in scientific terms.
