Sweet potatoes are supposedly easy for your baby to digest, but some mothers cite difficulty eating them. Is this true? Here is what I have found. If a baby eats too much of a sweet potato at one sitting, it can cause vomiting and diarrhea. This is due to the high levels of carbohydrates in sweet potatoes and the high level of sugars in breast milk. Therefore, you should cut a baby’s portion into small pieces and feed it to them bit by bit. If they are still having trouble eating sweet potatoes, you should try feeding them other starchy foods like white rice or baby cereal and see if they still have trouble.
