When you are gaming, it is important to have snacks that will keep you fueled up and energized. This can be difficult when most commercial snacks are high in sugar or unhealthy fats. However, with a little bit of creativity, you can make some delicious and nutritious snacks right at home! Whether you are in the middle of an intense LOL session or playing national casino poker online, these are several different options for healthy homemade gaming snacks!

Stock Your Cabinet

Taking a break from the rigours of studying or working to sit down in front of your computer and play games is one of life’s simple pleasures. Whether it’s streaming on Twitch, fragging friends in an FPS, fighting for survival in Minecraft, collecting rare items in Terraria, or co-oping with others to accomplish a goal, your gaming experience is enhanced with proper nourishment.

Snacking while you are gaming can be difficult because many commercial snacks are high in sugar or unhealthy fats. Fortunately, there are several options for healthy homemade gaming snacks! Here are some suggestions to stock up on:

– Whole Grain Crackers

– Dehydrated Fruit

– Applesauce

– Pistachios

– Granola Bars

You can also mix and match a few single items to make a nice hearty mix for gaming. An example of this would be the following mix: whole grain crackers, almonds, raisins, and granola bars. This is a great mix for games because you get the carbohydrates that your brain needs to stay sharp and focused, protein since nuts are an excellent source of protein, and some good sugars from the raisins and granola bars to give yourself a nice little boost while gaming!

Just like in any other type of cooking, it is important to use the freshest and highest quality ingredients. This means that if you can, you should try to shop at a local farmer’s market or even your own garden for some of these items! You can also buy in bulk on certain items and then buy smaller containers for easy access when you are gaming. That way, you don’t have to go through the hassle of opening up a massive container when you are in the middle of an intense gaming session!

Preparing Your Snacks

Your snacks will stay fresh longer if they are not exposed to air. The best way to do this is to store them in resealable bags or tightly sealed jars. It also helps to keep them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. You want to keep your snacks in an area that is both dark and dry because extreme temperatures can cause the ingredients in your snack to lose their flavour quickly.

Here are some suggestions on how to prep each of these types of snacks before you game:

– Whole Grain Crackers: The best way to store your whole-grain crackers is in an airtight jar since the main ingredient is wheat, which will go stale very quickly if exposed to oxygen. It’s also important not to use plastic bags because they can harbour moisture and cause the crackers to go stale.

– Dehydrated Fruit: The best way to keep your dried fruit fresh is to store it in an airtight jar or resealable bag. Dried fruits are very delicate and will go stale quickly if not properly sealed! It’s also important not to store your dried fruit in too hot of an area because this can cause the fruit to lose its flavour more quickly.

– Applesauce: Applesauce is a very delicate product and can go bad quickly if not taken care of properly. Make sure to store your applesauce in an airtight jar or resealable bag, and make sure that you keep it in a cool, dry place.

– Pistachios: Pistachios are able to stay fresh for a few months if stored in an airtight jar or resealable bag. It’s important to make sure that they are fully shelled and dry before you put them into storage because nuts contain a lot of natural oils and moisture, which can make them go bad quickly.

– Granola Bars: If kept in the refrigerator (not the freezer), granola bars will stay fresh for up to one month. If you can’t store them in the fridge, be sure to keep them in an airtight jar or resealable bag and only open the package when you plan on immediately eating it!

By following these guidelines, you (and your gaming buddies!) will be enjoying the freshest and most delicious homemade snacks around in no time!
