Recently I received an e-mail with a question that asked, “Is frozen or fresh chicken cheaper? |” (or something similar). So, I thought that I would put together a blog post that answers this question in a simple way.

Chicken is a protein, and by definition, it’s pre-prepared for you to eat. That makes it a little harder to get the most money for it out of the actual chicken. If you buy a whole frozen chicken, you may pay more for it than the same chicken is sold in frozen form. If you buy a whole chicken, you can cut up that chicken and make multiple meals. If you buy a whole chicken, you can take it to a butcher and get some of the meat you need for less money than buying all of the chicken.
